Pokémon × KOGEI

About the Exhibition

A travelling crafts exhibition, not a retail line. Twenty artists — one a Living National Treasure — made Pokémon in lacquer, clay, iron, glass, wood and silk. Almost nothing it produced was sold; what follows was handed out at the door, one venue at a time.

01Stickers

Stamp rally prizes, weekday entry bonuses, bus pass and café giveaways — free at a single venue and never sold. Includes the Hachinohe misprint, where the museum’s own name is spelt wrong on the front.

02Posters & Flyers

Every leg printed a flyer; some added rally sheets and a work list. Tokyo also had A2 posters by lottery, a subway pass and a café mat.
