The exhibition

Twenty craft artists — one of them a Living National Treasure — made Pokémon in lacquer, clay, iron, glass, wood and silk. Around ninety works toured Japan from 2023, supervised by a national museum. Almost nothing it produced was ever sold; the stickers below were handed out free at the door.

Grading

PSA grades these. Their labels name the venue and the Pokémon, and the Hachinohe pair carries a CORRECTED suffix — so the “Hachihohe” misprint is tracked as a variant in its own right, not lumped in with the reprint.

Sticker venues

Seven venues issued stickers: Azabudai Hills Tokyo, Matsuzakaya Nagoya, Hachinohe, Nagasaki, Hokkaido, Hiroshima and Miyagi (announced), plus the Aoyagi uirou pack in Nagoya. The programme began at Tokyo in November 2024 — Kanazawa, Los Angeles, Shiga and Atami issued none.
