Plain-English rules for sharing photos of your collection with the Hidden Temple community.
If you upload a photo to Hidden Temple, you’re telling us four things: you took it (or have the rights), the item is yours (or you have permission to photograph it), you’re 18 or older, and you’re giving us permanent permission to display it on the site and in related marketing. You keep the copyright — you can still use your photo anywhere else — but the permission you grant Hidden Temple is perpetual and irrevocable: you can’t require us to take a photo down later just because you change your mind. We may still remove content ourselves at any time, and we always address genuine copyright and legal disputes — see Section 10.
Everything below is the long version. Same rules, spelled out carefully so contributors know exactly what they’re agreeing to.
This Contributor License Agreement (the “CLA” or “Agreement”) governs every photo, image, scan, or video (collectively, “Contributed Content”) that you upload to the Hidden Temple website at hiddentemplecollectibles.com, including through the “Contribute?” button on any tile, the upload flow inside any Hidden Temple tool, or any other Hidden Temple feature that accepts media submissions.
This Agreement is between you (the “Contributor”) and HiddenTempleTCG (“Hidden Temple,” “we,” or “us”). By submitting Contributed Content, you confirm that you have read this Agreement and agree to it as written on the date of your submission.
You confirm that you personally photographed the item shown in the Contributed Content, or that you have explicit written permission from the photographer to grant the license described in this Agreement. You confirm that the Contributed Content was not copied, scraped, screenshotted, or otherwise obtained from another website, social network, marketplace listing, or third party.
You confirm that the physical item shown in the Contributed Content is, or was at the time of photographing, in your lawful possession; or that the owner of the item has given you permission to photograph it and to upload that photograph to Hidden Temple under this Agreement.
Subject to the rest of this Agreement, you grant Hidden Temple a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, royalty-free, fully paid-up, sublicensable, and transferable license to:
This license takes effect at the moment of upload and is irrevocable. It continues even if you later close your Hidden Temple account. Hidden Temple may choose to remove Contributed Content at its own discretion, and will always address genuine copyright and legal disputes as described in Section 10 — but the license itself does not expire and cannot be withdrawn by the Contributor.
This Agreement is a license, not an assignment. You retain the copyright in your photograph. You are free to use, license, sell, publish, or display the same Contributed Content anywhere else — on other sites, in print, in marketplace listings, on social media — without any obligation to Hidden Temple.
You confirm that you are at least 18 years old. Contribution and account features are limited to adults; no one under 18 may create an account, submit Contributed Content, send messages, or provide personal information through the Site.
Contributed Content must depict a collectible item (a card, sticker, sealed pack, slab, accessory, or similar). You confirm that the Contributed Content does not contain:
Approved contributions may be credited to your current Hidden Temple display name and may appear on your public profile, contributor pages, item pages, or achievement records. Available profile and sharing settings control what the Site displays publicly. Hidden Temple still keeps an internal account-to-submission record for moderation, dispute resolution, security, and legal compliance. Contact us if a public credit is incorrect or exposes information you did not intend to publish.
You acknowledge that the Pokémon characters, set names, logos, and other trademarks or artwork visible on collectibles belong to their respective third-party rights holders and that none of those underlying rights are transferred by this Agreement. Your rights in the photograph are separate from rights in the depicted artwork. Hidden Temple displays Contributed Content for collector reference, identification, cataloging, and community features and is not affiliated with or endorsed by those rights holders.
Because the license you grant in Section 4 is perpetual and irrevocable, you cannot require Hidden Temple to remove Contributed Content simply because you have changed your mind about sharing it. The following still applies:
If you believe Contributed Content uploaded by someone else infringes on your copyright, please follow the procedure in our DMCA Policy. Hidden Temple processes valid DMCA takedown notices in accordance with 17 U.S.C. § 512.
If you close your Hidden Temple account, the license you granted under this Agreement for Contributed Content already uploaded remains fully in effect and does not end. Closing your account does not withdraw the license and does not require Hidden Temple to remove your past contributions. Genuine copyright and legal disputes are still handled as described in Section 10.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Hidden Temple, its operators, employees, contractors, and affiliates from and against any third-party claim, demand, loss, liability, damage, or expense (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your breach of any representation or warranty in this Agreement; (b) Contributed Content that violates a third party’s intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights; or (c) your violation of any applicable law in connection with your contribution.
This Agreement is governed by applicable law. Nothing in this Agreement limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be waived.
We may update this Agreement as contribution features change. We will post the revised version and effective date on this page and provide additional notice or obtain consent where applicable law requires it. A revision applies to submissions made on or after its effective date unless the revised Agreement expressly states otherwise.
For a Contributed Content submission, the Site currently records information such as:
Image processing may strip EXIF and other embedded metadata, and Hidden Temple does not promise to retain the original file. These records support the contribution, moderation, attribution, security, and license history. Personal data is handled under our Privacy Policy.
