How to tell an Amada sticker’s print run

Nothing printed on an Amada sticker says which run it came from. Only one set has two proven runs, and this is how to check it.

1st printFront: sun-ray streaks in the holo.
2nd printFront: clean holo, sharper red ink.
1st printBack: faint yellow, slick stock.
2nd printBack: whiter, matte stock.
ADV Part 8 wrapper: AMADA.
ADV Retsuden 9 wrapper: enSky.
The 1996 kuji hanger: one sticker per coin.

The one proven case

Hyper Sticker Collection 1 (1996) was printed twice. The first run feels slick, almost like plastic, with a faint yellow back, softer red ink and sun-ray streaks in the holo. The second run is matte and papery, with a whiter back, sharper ink and a clean holo.

Trust the feel most. Streaks and ink can look different under different light, but the paper does not change.

What does not date a run

Every other Amada set

No other Amada set has proof of a second run yet. A “first print” listing for Super DX or an Advanced Generation Part is a seller’s claim, not something the sticker shows.

Quick answers

Does a grading label tell you the print run?

No. Nothing on an Amada sticker states its run, and a slab hides the backing you need to feel. Grading labels also use their own product names, so match the printed number to the set page instead.

Which Amada sets have two print runs?

Only Hyper Sticker Collection 1 has two proven runs, with photos of both. No other Amada set has print-run evidence yet.

Which Amada set is the 1997 one?

Hyper Sticker Collection 2, a 214-sticker set. Collection 1 is from 1996, and Collections 3 and 4 are both from 2000.

Does Amada ADV Part 3 start at 001?

No. The Retsuden sets use one running number across all Parts, so later Parts never restart at 001.
