The machines

Since 2007, Takara Tomy's Pokémon arcade machines have each been built around a collectible physical token dispensed by the cabinet. These include Battrio's pucks, Tretta's chips, Ga-Ole's disks, Mezastar's tags and Frienda's picks. Players insert a coin, receive a token, place it on the machine and battle.
