About the First Movie Trading Cards

The First Movie Trading Cards set, released by Topps in 1999, draws its 72 cards from the first Pokémon film — 41 cards from the main feature, Mewtwo Strikes Back, 18 from the short Pikachu's Vacation, twelve Evolution cards, and a checklist card.

Foil parallels, twelve die-cut embossed Evolution cards, and an 18-card sticker subset were issued alongside the main set and are not part of this checklist. Card photos are added from contributor scans as the set is verified. Topps trading cards carry a uniform printed back, so each entry below has a single front-photo slot.
