Pokemon Meiji Picture Frames Checklist (2000)

Pokémon Meiji Picture Frames, also called dias, slides or film frames, came packed with Meiji Pokémon Biscuits. Each is a small two-part plastic frame that pulls apart to hold a thin translucent film; held to the light, the film image shows through.

Meiji’s own catalogue lists gold and silver frames in two issues, April 2000 and December 2000, each with 60 pictures. Red and blue frames come from an earlier issue. Every frame has a number from 1 to 15 moulded on its back, and the number does not decide the film: the same numbered frame turns up holding different films.

About this list: tiles are grouped by the moulded frame number and labelled by frame colour. A tile marked Film pending is a colour and number slot, not a known film: its film is named only when a photo of an actual frame shows it. The same numbered frame appears more than once when different films or colours have been seen.
