GB Pocket Card - GBP Card Collection

A 1999 GB Pocket Card set from the later Game Boy Pocket run. The Kyodo retail display band photographed for this product prints 50 card types in its first bullet, which closes a total this archive had never been able to state. The figure is read at sixteen source pixels on a band photographed square on, against three reference digits printed in the same photograph, two of them smaller than the figure itself, and the same band carries the maker name, a Sumida-ku address and the item number 4947122000098, which passes its own printed check digit. Fifty identities are documented and every one of them carries a printed number read off the blue back beside its printed name. Those numbers run 152 to 201 with no gap, fifty consecutive numbers, so the count the product prints and the count the cards read agree without either being derived from the other. Two further rows record a prism Totodile and a regular Umbreon. Both name a subject the numbered run already carries, at 158 and at 197, and this set prints one number for each subject across a closed run of fifty, so those two rows are finishes of numbered slots rather than extra card types. They are kept exactly as recorded and they are not counted in the total, which is why the figure here is 50 and not 52. The band prints its body colour bullet with no number at all, unlike the band for the second collection and unlike the three later bands in this family, so no body colour count is claimed for this product and the five those other bands print is never carried onto it. Four body colours are photographed in one complete unused set, red, black, white and green, against a band that states none. The rights line on this band is the anime line, naming the broadcast credits alongside Nintendo, Creatures and Game Freak, where the Final Collection band names only the first three, which is a printed difference between the products rather than an inference. The box remains a proven negative for a total. Its side panels print the product name and nothing else, read square on and large on two separate lots.
