DX Waza BEST

The final installment in the entire Amada / Ensky DX Waza line. Released in 2010 and titled simply “BEST,” this set caps a fifteen-year run that began with Amada's original Strongest Seal Retsuden Technique in 1998 and ran through six numbered DX Waza installments before this farewell release. After DX Waza BEST, Ensky stopped producing this format of Pokémon stickers entirely — making it a literal end-of-line piece for collectors.

DX Waza BEST lives up to its name as a curated “greatest hits” compilation. Every entry in the 60-sticker run is a REISSUED artwork pulled from earlier Amada / Ensky Retsuden, DX Waza, and related sets — not original art created for this set. Ensky picked what they considered the best artworks from across the entire fifteen-year line and reissued each one with a NEW foil treatment for BEST. Some of the chosen artworks weren't even holographic in their original release; in BEST they get upgraded to Silver Foil, Prism, or Dot Laser. That curation is what makes the set special: it isn't a normal pack of new stickers, it's Ensky's own “hall of fame” selection of the artworks worth coming back to.

Three distinct foil tiers structure the rarity ladder, all foil from baseline up: Silver Foil at #S01-#S30 (the everyday pulls, 30 entries spanning the Sinnoh roster and key Gen 4 evolutions), Prism at #S31-#S53 (the mid-tier chase, 23 entries dedicated to the legendary Pokémon — the Johto Beasts, the Regis, the Weather Trio, the Lake Trio), and Dot Laser at #S54-#S60 (the top chase, just 7 entries: Pikachu and the six biggest event mythicals).

Distribution made this set hard to find even at release. DX Waza BEST was sold exclusively through Circle K convenience stores in Japan in 2010 — never at general retail, never at toy shops, never online. Anyone living outside Circle K's footprint had to ask a friend in Japan to grab packs in person, or wait for the secondary market.
