#525 Production Error

The third entry in the Super DX series brought the format into the new millennium with 125 entries, the largest Super DX run by some margin.

The set layers four finishes — Gold Holo across the first sixty, Translucent across the middle forty, standard Holo for the next twenty, and a five-sticker Ultra Rare Gold Holo at the top. The tiered structure made the final five the clear chase pulls.

Stickers from 2000 are still common in mid-condition, but mint-grade survival drops sharply because so many were applied to a notebook or pencil case. Front damage and adhesive ghosting are the most common defects.

Within the 2000-era Amada lineup, sticker #525 (Lickitung) ships with a single-side printing error. On the FRONT of the sticker the Japanese name is printed as "ペロリンガ" (Perorinka) — the first character should be "ベ" (be) but is rendered "ペ" (pe). The BACKING card prints the name correctly as ベロリンガ. So the same physical product has the right name on one side and a typo on the other.

No confirmed corrected reprint has surfaced. Treat this as a known production mistake rather than a counterfeit indicator — meaning a Lickitung with the front typo is the genuine 2000 release, not a reason to question authenticity. Worth noting before grading or trading examples of #525.
