About this checklist

Part 2 of Amada’s Kakumen Retsuden menko series, from the Pokémon Advanced Generation era. Sold one menko per pack, with 70 Normal, 25 Rare, and 6 Special menko.

This set has 101 menko. Twenty five printed identities are now photo-verified, including package cards, numbered package-back silhouettes, a photographed Part 2 card group, sealed lottery boards that print a Part.2 badge in the same frame as their sample menko, and one loose menko photographed in one frame with two Part.2 badged pack wrappers. The printed numbering is not a simple sequential 001–101 list.

The remaining 76 identities stay unresolved until a readable checklist or source photograph verifies them. Front and back contributions remain open below.

Current evidence trail

A photographed #001–#201 combined archive now confirms the shared Base Part 1/2 numbering and identities. It does not show which of the two releases supplied each card, so unproven rows are not assigned to this Part 2 page.

A Part 2 package display makes its center sample readable as #126 Solrock. A separate Part 2 card group makes #037, #038, #041, and #154 readable. The card first published from that photograph as #164 was re-read at high magnification on the same plate and prints 154, so the row now carries 154 and 164 returns to the unresolved pool rather than being filled from the numbering scheme. The Dusclops row this page published as #142 from the same photograph rested on a card that is not visible in it, and a sealed Part.2 lottery board whose attached sample menko prints 149 above the name plate now settles that identity, so #142 is withdrawn to the unresolved pool and #149 Dusclops is published in its place. No rarity is carried across, because the board proves the number and the release and never a per-menko rarity. Original Part 2 package, paper-bag, and pack photographs in the collector evidence index add ten more readable card faces or numbered card backs: #046, #069, #072, #080, #094, #105, #114, #172, #180, and #188. Their identity and rarity assignments are cross-checked against the combined archive transcription; release totals are cross-checked against the Japanese product catalog. Source photographs are used for identification only and are not copied into Hidden Temple.

Five of the twenty five rows are read off sealed 30-yen lottery boards, lots h1132937628, g1142411223, m1149057427, k1138586653 and h1132143495, each fixing one sleeved sample menko to the board face directly beneath a printed Part.2 badge, so one photograph carries the printed number, the printed name and the release together. Every image address is recorded in data/research/draft-kakumen-archive-sweep-2026-09-10.json rather than on this page.

The board reverse is the first first-party printed source for this release total. Read at full resolution on lot m1165100277 it prints Part.2 全101種類 above a boxed table reading 70 Normal, 25 Rare and 6 Special, with JAN 4970381030698 and the 2003 Amada imprint. It carries the game rules and that table and nothing else. There is no member list, no number list and no character list on either face, so the printed checklist for this release has still never been observed.

Part 1 and Part 2 interleave across the whole 001 to 201 range and are not two contiguous blocks. Four counterpart pairs are now printed one in each release: 080 Plusle in Part 2 against 081 Minun in Part 1, 123 Zangoose in Part 2 against 124 Seviper in Part 1, 125 Lunatone in Part 1 against 126 Solrock in Part 2, and 160 Wynaut in Part 1 against 161 Wobbuffet in Part 2. A number range therefore never attributes a card to a part, so #123 Zangoose stays published here on its own evidence and is not moved to Part 1 by arithmetic.

The twenty fifth row is #079 Manectric. A loose menko is photographed front and reverse at full frame width: the number tag prints 079 and the name plate prints the katakana name, and the reverse prints the same number beside the silhouette device, so the number is read twice on one card and on two different printed elements. A third frame from the same lot lays that menko in one photograph with two single-pack wrappers face up and unfolded, each printing the Part.2 sub-badge under the wordmark, which is the same same-frame standard the five board-read rows above rest on. The release attribution is that adjacency and not a badge printed on the menko itself, and the row carries no rarity, because nothing in those frames prints one.

The face collage printed on the Part.2 lottery board and on the pack wrapper is now treated as a source in its own right, having been tested rather than assumed. It carries two sub-classes: menko fronts, with a number tag and a name plate, and menko backs, with a Poké Ball device printing a number beside the game hand device. Eight collage numbers coincide with rows this page publishes independently and none coincides with any of the twenty one Part 1 numbers it was checked against, which was every row Part 1 published when the test was run, so the class scores eight for eight positive and zero for twenty one negative. The one Part 1 row published since, 021, was not among the numbers checked and the class is not claimed against it. The one apparent counterexample, a tag readable as 008 on a single board copy, is 098 on four better copies of the same board. Three further Part.2 numbers fall out of the collage with no name attached, 098 on six independent board copies, 011 on the two wrappers in one photograph and 111 on a single copy that is held for a second, and not one of the three is published here, because the device pairs a number with a silhouette only and a species is never derived from it. Two earlier collage claims are withdrawn rather than carried: #188 Shelgon and #172 Glalie were already published from other sources, so the collage corroborates them and adds no member.

The board face prints the pack contents. Seven printed copies across both parts read メンコ1枚入り, one menko per pack, beside 連続当 30付+3+1 and 30円売, on the Part.2 boards in lots l1087567803 and t1189876273 and on the Part.1 boards in lots v1140296578, h1131215841 and s1231118873. This page said the set was sold five menko per pack. That figure is the one Parts 3 and 4 print on their own packaging, and it is corrected to one menko per pack on 2026-09-12.

A separate Part 2 retail bundle confirms the attached #192 Metagross. An independent close-up confirms its Rare foil-stamped name. The bundle back also confirms the 2003 release and 101-type total.

Verified printed identities

How entries are verified

These are the entries whose release membership, printed numbers, names, and rarity are established by release-specific photographs plus the combined numbered archive. 76 of 101 identities remain unresolved. Unsupported sequential placeholders have been removed because this set does not use a simple 001–101 checklist.
