About this checklist

Part 1 is confirmed as 100 menko: 70 Normal, 25 Rare, and 5 Special.

Twenty two printed identities are now photo-verified. Nine of them carry a rarity: #001 Treecko (Normal), #002 Grovyle (Rare), #006 Blaziken (Rare), #065 Crobat (Rare), #068 Sableye (Rare), #070 Aron (Rare), #076 Meditite (Normal), #156 Pikachu (Special), and #199 Groudon (Special). The other thirteen carry none, because they were read off sealed lottery boards that print a Part.1 badge in the same frame as the sample menko, which proves the number and the release together and never a per-menko rarity: #005 Combusken, #008 Marshtomp, #009 Swampert, #016 Beautifly, #021 Ludicolo, #053 Gyarados, #054 Azurill, #081 Minun, #086 Volbeat, #087 Illumise, #124 Seviper, #125 Lunatone, and #160 Wynaut. Two of the nine, #065 Crobat and #068 Sableye, are board rows as well, and their Rare is read off the silver foil stamping on the card itself rather than off the board. The higher printed numbers prove this is not a simple sequential 001–100 checklist.

The remaining 78 identities stay unresolved until a readable checklist or source photograph verifies them. Front and back contributions remain open below.

Current evidence trail

A photographed #001–#201 combined archive now confirms the shared Base Part 1/2 numbering and identities. It does not show which of the two releases supplied each card, so unproven rows are not assigned to this Part 1 page.

Fifteen of the twenty two rows are read off sealed 30-yen lottery boards. Each board fixes one sleeved sample menko to its face directly beneath a printed Part.1 badge, so a single photograph carries the printed number, the printed name and the release at once, and that is what lets these rows be attributed to Part 1 rather than banked unattributed. The boards read for this page are lots n1093972775, w1129480650, 1133026223, f490701280, h1131215841, c1121287434, k1131971342, f1131976856, l1131217117, g1130355726, s1154002124, w1091656551, m1213872252, s733937414 and 1046695189, and every image address is recorded in data/research/draft-kakumen-archive-sweep-2026-09-10.json, data/research/draft-kakumen-boards-2-2026-09-10.json, data/research/draft-kakumen-boards-3-2026-09-10.json, data/research/draft-kakumen-recrops-2026-09-10.json and data/research/draft-fallen-pools-2026-09-10.json rather than on this page.

Nine of those board rows were re-read independently on 2026-09-12 and each is now carried by at least one further photograph that shows the sleeved sample menko still attached to a Part.1 badged board, which is the strongest part evidence this archive recognises. They are #005 Combusken, #006 Blaziken, #008 Marshtomp, #009 Swampert, #081 Minun, #086 Volbeat, #087 Illumise, #124 Seviper and #125 Lunatone, and the boards added for them are lots x1117292443, m1129451499, q1124013612, n1128268857 and q1128264483. Every image address is recorded in data/research/draft-kakumen-corocoro-resume-2026-09-12.json rather than on this page. Each of the nine was taken from its photograph and never from its listing, because one title in the sixteen boards re-read is wrong: lot h1131215841 names Plusle and its board photographs #081 Minun.

The board reverse is the first first-party printed source for this release total. Read at full resolution on two physically different boards from two sellers, lots h1131215841 and v1185015189, it prints Part.1 全100種類 above a boxed table reading 70 Normal, 25 Rare and 5 Special, with JAN 4970381030643 and the 2003 Amada imprint. It carries the game rules and that table and nothing else. There is no member list, no number list and no character list on either face, so the printed checklist for this release has still never been observed.

The Azurill row this page first published as #084 is corrected to #054 on 2026-09-12. The original number came from two board photographs read at ordinary magnification, where the printed 5 and 8 in this typeface are not separable. Three independent physical copies read at higher magnification all print 054 beside the same ルリリ name plate: the sleeved sample menko on the Part.1 badged boards in lots u1133044506 and c1121287434, cropped and read at four times, and a loose card lying flat in a fifty card spread in lot o1125363683, cropped and read at twelve times, where the open top of the middle digit separates 5 from 8. The species and the release do not move, only the printed number, so the row now carries 054 and #084 returns to the unresolved pool rather than being filled from the numbering scheme. Nothing photographed in that pass prints 084, so it is recorded as unread rather than as vacant.

The board face prints the pack contents. Seven printed copies across both parts read メンコ1枚入り, one menko per pack, beside 連続当 30付+3+1 and 30円売, on the Part.1 boards in lots v1140296578, h1131215841 and s1231118873 and on the Part.2 boards in lots l1087567803 and t1189876273. This page carried a pack badge reading five menko, which is the figure Parts 3 and 4 print on their own packaging, and it is corrected to one menko per pack on 2026-09-12.

The board this row came from was found by re-walking a search whose earlier walk had silently dropped every listing whose id carries no letter, which is why a lot that had been in the archive all along had never been opened. The lot is 1046695189, a sealed 30-yen board printing 連続当 30付+3+1 and the Advanced Generation masthead, with its Part.1 badge and its sleeved sample menko in one frame. The sample is #021 Ludicolo, and its number tag and its name plate are both legible on the same photograph. It carries no rarity, because the board face states none and the frame treatment is an observation about finishes here rather than a rarity source. A #021 Ludicolo exists in two other products in this archive and neither is this one, so the shared number is a collision between separate numbering schemes and not a shared row.

The board face prints no rarity for its sample menko. The board reverse names the three classes the release prints, and the menko itself shows its class in its own frame treatment, a full colour frame for a Normal, a silver halftone foil stamped frame for a Rare, and an all gold or holographic card for a Special. That mapping is recorded here as an observation about finishes, and no row on this page takes its rarity from the mapping alone. Two rows state a rarity read off the card itself, #065 Crobat in lot m1213872252 and #068 Sableye in lot s733937414, and on both the silver foil stamping sits in the same frame as that card’s own printed number and name. #053 Gyarados carries no rarity for exactly this reason.

Every menko reverse prints its own number beside a Poke Ball device, in large flat type that reads at resolutions the front number tag does not. Five cards were read that way, numbers 063, 065, 070, 160 and 180, in lots j1150889312, m1213872252, v1176236770, n1127957446 and s1231118873, and on every one where the front tag was also readable the two numbers agree. A reverse gives a number and never a name, so it is used to corroborate a front read and never to replace one.

Three further reads are banked rather than published. #063 Zubat and #119 Cacnea are clean number and name reads on loose cards photographed apart from any board, so no printed Part badge shares their frame and neither is attributed to a release. #019 is a board sample whose Part.1 badge and number tag both read while its gold name plate does not, so it carries a number and no identity. None of the three is written onto this page.

Part 1 and Part 2 interleave across the whole 001 to 201 range and are not two contiguous blocks. Four counterpart pairs are now printed one in each release: 080 Plusle in Part 2 against 081 Minun in Part 1, 123 Zangoose in Part 2 against 124 Seviper in Part 1, 125 Lunatone in Part 1 against 126 Solrock in Part 2, and 160 Wynaut in Part 1 against 161 Wobbuffet in Part 2. A number range therefore never attributes a card to a part, and no row on this page is placed by one.

A sealed Part 1 package display makes the center sample card readable as #002 Grovyle. The original Part 1 package, paper-bag, pack, and box photographs in the collector evidence index also depict Blaziken’s actual card face and Pikachu’s card-back silhouette. The combined #001–#201 archive supplies their printed numbers and rarity transcription. Release totals are cross-checked against the Japanese product catalog. Source photographs are used for identification only and are not copied into Hidden Temple.

Verified printed identities

How entries are verified

These are the entries whose release membership, printed numbers, names, and rarity are established by release-specific package photographs plus the combined numbered archive. 78 of 100 identities remain unresolved. Unsupported sequential placeholders have been removed because this set does not use a simple 001–100 checklist.
